About the Instructor
PATSY KLINE is an experienced mandolin
teacher and performer and has studied with
many of the finest mandolinists in the world
including Roland White, Butch Baldissari,
Robin Bullock, and Emory Lester. She's lead
mandolin workshops in Georgia, Pennsylvania,
and Maryland, and has performed at the Steve
Kaufman music camp and the Blue Ridge
Mountains Arts Association.
JIM PITTMAN is a native of north Georgia and
is in demand both as a lead and rhythm guitar
player as well as a workshop instructor. Jim is
renowned for his helpful teaching style and
materials, and his workshops can assist
intermediate to advanced guitar players with
playing and practicing tips derived from years of
practical experience. Jim has been influenced by
the styles of Doc Watson and Norman Blake and
has studied with some of the world's best flat
pickers.

$150.00 per student with $250.00 additional for the camp for a three day workshop
(separate checks please | $250 to Holiday Lake 4-H & $150 to Patsy Kline for mandolin or $150 Jim Pittman for guitar)
Covers all programming and instructor fees, meals and lodging. WHAT A DEAL!
- This Workshop is designed for adult participants.
- To ensure an optimum instructor to participant ratio, participation is limited to 20 (10 per instructor).
- Students must bring a steel string acoustic guitar or mandolin in playable condition and an electronic tuner.
- Students should know basic guitar or mandolin chording.
- Students are encouraged to bring Singing Song Books
- Meals and lodging the entire workshop time!

How to play the rhythm, lead & fill
How to back up vocalists
Jamming skills
How to play in a band
All courses include handouts and learning tools that students may use continue learning at home. The presentations and materials offer "real world" playing and practice tips that will help students avoid problem areas that cause many people to quit in frustration. It is not necessary for students to know how to read music.
Course participants should bring a mandolin or acoustic guitar that is in playable condition and an electronic tuner to class. Loaner instruments will not be available.
