Primitive Bow Workshop

Make your own high quality primitive bow! Long time bow makers Alton Hill and Darrell Garber provide all instruction and kits.

About the primitive bow you would make:

  • A functioning wood bow of assorted wood species: Hickory, Elm, Osage, Black locust.
  • Design choice of student: Native American, European, or hybrid.
  • Introduction to arrow making and arrow shafting, shooting styles, & string making.

About this program:

  • The bow you make is yours to keep!
  • Meals and lodging provided though out the workshop.
  • Participation is limited to 20 participants for a better instructor/participant ratio!
  • This Workshop is designed for adult time participants 18 and older.

Cost: Only $400.00!!!

This covers all programming fees, instructors, bow kit, meals, and lodging. WHAT A DEAL!!!

About the instructors:

Alton Hill is a native off Amelia County, VA. He has been crafting bows since boyhood. His trademark is Silver Star bows. He builds primitive and modern fiberglass bows. Darrell Garber is a native of Nottoway County, VA. He has been making bows for 12 years and has an interest in all primitive technologies.
