No other summer camp in Virginia is staffed or equipped to accept children with hearing loss regardless of their communication means. Although children with hearing loss may attend public schools, they encounter difficulties in social interaction due to their inability to hear and speak fully. This camp will offer Deaf/HH children the enviornment with staff and programming to augment healthy, satisfying socialization experiences. Audio equipment provided by VA Dept of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
