One Week Get-a-Way

The Scott Family Highland County House, the place to get-a-way from it all.
Truly a mountain retreat located in the Alleghany Mountains of Virginia and West Virginia, located 14 miles West of the quaint town of Monterey Virginia.
Quiet, remote location without landline phone or cell phone service, but close enough to small town of Durbin and Bartow West Virginia where stores provide necessities needed.
The cabin has four bedrooms and three baths. Entertainment is provided by the vast views from the large windows and the deck.
Area attractions within an hour or hour and half drive are:
National Radio Observatory, Green Bank West Virginia, interesting tour and interactive museum
Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad, rail excursions through national forests on trains powered by steam locomotives.
Cass Railroad, historic logging railroad town, with restored “Company Houses”. Steam driven locomotive train runs 11 miles to Bald Knob.
Gaudineer Overlook and virgin forest trail.
Only available during the warm months, not available in the winter months.
