The Housekeer at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center is hired and paid directly by Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, Inc., a private, non-profit 501c3 corporation.

Job Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the Center, using proper and appropriate cleaning techniques for each specific area. The Housekeeper will be responsible for all housekeeping duties as directed by the Facility Manager.


  • Prepare schedule and complete regular housekeeping duties for each facility; dust, vacuum, sweep, wipe down beds, clean windows, clean toilets, scrub urinals, clean showers, sinks, mirrors, empty trash, mop, stock with toilet paper, paper towels, clean refrigerator & stove(bunkhouse kitchen), wipe tables & counter tops.
  • Inspect and review all areas of the camp on a regular basis attending to necessary needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and supplies for all restroom facilities.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and janitorial supplies, and order when necessary, including cleaning products, paper products, garbage bags, etc.
  • Attend to heavy housekeeping duties such as windows, woodwork, mopping, waxing, shampooing, buffing, etc. as needed.
  • Assist with set up for meetings and events as needed.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Assist with weekend cleaning as needed.
  • Attend to lost and found articles.
  • Launder lost and found articles, sheets, blankets, towels, table cloths, and kitchen items

Starting $15/hour paid every other week


  • Annual leave accumulated at a rate of 8 hours per month
  • Sick leave accumulated at a rate of 10 hours per month. Sick leave may be used for personal sickness, injury, or family member emergencies according to the 4-H Center policy. Sick leave has no monetary value, but can be cashed in upon departure at a rate of $10.00 per day for up to 10 days.
  • All state holidays are given to employees
  • Optional employee participation in group health insurance for individual or family. The 4-H Center will pay $300.00 per month of the total billing for individual or family. The employee is responsible for the remaining amount
  • Optional employee participation in Dental Care Plan


Office hours are 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to keep regular office hours and schedule alternate work schedules with the Center Director.
