Primary Job Description and Responsibilities
- Prepare and Serve Meals as instructed by Kitchen Operations Manager.
- Follow Meal Prep and Serving Plan to ensure quality Food Service.
- Work directly with Kitchen Operations Manager to maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness:
- Complete Logs and Checklists as instructed by Kitchen Operations Manager.
- Keep All Equipment and Food Prep Areas Clean, Organized, and Sanitized.
- Maintain a high level of awareness regarding Food Handling and Safety.
- Report directly to Food Service Manage and/or Kitchen Operations Manager any activity that may inhibit the full ability of the kitchen.
- Work directly with Kitchen Operations Manager to ensure Kitchen Safety and Cleanliness by:
- Ensuring full completion of Cleaning Lists Before, During, and After each User Group.
- Working routine Cleaning Days and Tracking Appliance/Area and Clean Level.
- Keeping Safety at the forefront of EVERYTHING we do!!
- Staying up to date on Food and Equipment Safety and Trends.
- Guide and Instruct Helpers to maintain a functional and efficient kitchen:
- Evaluate, with Operations Manager, Helper efficiency and adjust as needed.
- Ensure safe food handling practices and use moments of fault as a window to teach!
- Instruct Helpers on food prep and service arrangements.
- Instruct Preparation, Service, and Cleanup of Meals.
- Assist with any other duties as instructed by Food Service Manager or Kitchen Operations Manager.

- Prepare, Serve, and Cleanup Meals as instructed by Supervisor. May include, but not limited to:
- Gathering, cutting, mixing, and re-storing ingredients.
- Line-Serve or setup Self-Serve Lines for Groups based on serving arrangements.
- Follow the printed Opening, Pre-, Post-, and Closing Checklists as instructed by Supervisor to ensure everything is being properly cleaned.
- Wash Dishes, Clean Equipment, Wipe Counters/Tables, Sweep/Mop Floors, etc.
- Assist in keeping the Kitchen and Dining Hall Facilities Clean and Functional as instructed by Supervisor.
- Participate in routine Cleaning Days as Scheduled by Food Service Manager.
- Maintain and Clean Kitchen and Dining Halls as instructed by Supervisor.
- Maintain a high level of awareness regarding Food Handling and Safety.
- Assist with any other duties as instructed by Supervisor.
